Workers Memorial Day
By President Obama proclaimed yesterday “Workers Memorial Day.” That would have been a much better thing if the president had mentioned anything about the recent deaths in West, Texas or even in Bangladesh, something that would provide real meaning to the proclamation. Alas, no. His most recent reference to something concrete was 1970.
