Bipartisan Outsourcing

I’m fine with Obama running a campaign attacking Mitt Romney’s outsourcing ways during his time with Bain Capital. But while there’s plenty of difference between the two parties, there’s almost no difference between Republican and Democratic elites on the issue of outsourcing. Let us not forget that Larry Summers, who most recently was Obama’s choice to be Director of the White House National Economic Council, is quite the outsourcer himself, having called opponents of outsourcing Luddites.

This is one of those examples where the Democrats talk a good game about being the party of the working-class but don’t really do anything to follow through on their talk.
