By Naomi Wolf has a more than 5,000 word non-defense-defense of her initial assertion that the crackdown on OWS was ordered by Congress and authorized by the White House. Since she still has no evidence whatsoever for this theory and still premised on the kind of fake-sophisticated functionalism now only seen in Oliver Stone movies (members of Congress like making money! So they must have ordered the crackdown, which certainly couldn’t have been done at the initiative of our benevolent local overlords!), I’m happy to delegate the rebuttals to karoli and Joshua Holland. (Personal to Wolf: the fact that I agree with these critiques and have a general interest in attacking dumb conspiracy theories based on reactionary states’ rights assumptions doesn’t mean that I ordered them to write their articles.)
