Bourbon Season

So the world is going to hell. The Democrats are getting crushed in special elections, Pennsylvania Republicans are seeking to game the system to guarantee Rick Perry’s election in 2012, Israel’s relations with its neighbors are increasingly fractured.

But hey, at least it is cooling down and we are entering bourbon season, with all kinds of tasty cocktails to try on a chilly fall night. Here’s a piece reviewing some of the finer bourbons now available and here’s some yummy looking cocktails that seem pretty simple to make.

And let’s face it, the winter of 2011-2012 is going to be one where drinking is going to help dull a whole lot of socioeconomic/political pain.
