I do like the fact that Coulter has illustrated another twist to the general Republican belief that “George Wallace and Strom Thurmond are the true heirs to Martin Luther King,” namely civil rights protections for African Americans that conservatives opposed at the time now being used to justify the denial of civil rights protections to other groups.
