Opportunity Cost
By I’m not saying that she will be as bad as the endorsement suggests. But let’s be frank: when you’re a Democratic president with 59 votes in the Senate and you nominate someone that Glenn Reynolds can get behind, it’s a wasted opportunity. And that goes triple when he’s able to tout with at least some measure of plausibility her “track record of supporting strong — dare I say Bushian (or even Cheneyian) — views of presidential power.”
