By Ye Gods, Diaz is a tool. However, I still have to agree with Peter Beinart that the failure of New York courts to act in defense of the equality and dignity of the state’s gay and lesbian citizens was the best thing to ever happen to the cause, because with legislative leaders like Diaz how could legislation granting same-sex marriage rights fail to pass?
