Time is a Wastin’
By Turns out that the U.S. Senate has nothing better to do than to spend time passing a resolution to condemn free speech. Yep, you read that right: the Senate today officially condemned MoveOn.org for its (brilliant) Betray-Us ad. John Cornyn (R-TX) sponsored the amendment, which passed by a huge margin of 72-25, with three Senators not voting (Biden, Cantwell, and Obama).
So when you’re wondering why none of the stuff the Democratic Congress promised to get done has happened, remember this vote and the twenty or so democrats who voted for the amendment. It’s at least the beginning of an answer.
