So what’d I miss today?

Oh. Right. Althouse behaving like a jackass again.

First, I’d like to offer my condolences to Scott, who most certainly did not deserve to be mistaken as the author of this post, whose “rant” — contrary to Project Runway’s assertion — was not “withdrawn” but rather modestly amended to indicate that Althouse’s thoughts on Anna Nicole Smith weren’t nearly as unintelligent as they could have been. I modified the intensity, but not the substance, of my underlying assertion that Althouse’s was in fact a post larded with Teh Stupid.

I’d also like to assure “the divine Ms. Althouse” that her devastating 9th grade psychoanalytic takedown of my display name — “d” must symbolize a tiny prick! Burn! — did little to deepen my yawning pit of self-loathing. As for her cliched invocation of “[fill in the blank] Derangement Syndrome,” I’ll merely note that this will quite likely not be the last disorder to bear her name.

Meantime, I see that Althouse has returned to BloggingHeads.tv . . .
