Fat Bottomed Girls of Tehran
By Rock band Queen, fronted by gay icon Freddie Mercury, has become the first rock act to receive an official seal of approval in Iran. Mercury, who died in 1991, was proud of his Iranian ancestry, and illegal bootleg albums and singles made Queen one of the most popular bands in Iran.
Now they have to go and give the Bush administration another reason to invade. I can’t imagine Queen is all that popular in Crawford, and I’m sure that various wingnuts have already deduced a close, collaborative relationship between flamboyant homosexuality and militant Islam.
