I am beginning to question whether Joe Biden is too old to be president, should he theoretically obtain that office next year:

Apparently Donald Trump needs to catch up on some sleep, as the former president appeared to doze off in a New York City courtroom yet again on Friday.

This time around, reporters noted that Trump’s head repeatedly dropped, and he closed his eyes for quite some time.

It’s at least the third time Trump has been spotted catching some ZZZs during the first week of his high-stakes hush-money trial, which centers around his alleged plot to pay off porn star Stormy Daniels to cover up an alleged affair.

It appears Trump wants to be anywhere but the Manhattan courthouse, with him complaining Friday morning it’s unfair he has to be stuck in a courtroom “all day long” when he could be out campaigning.

I think Democrats have to seriously consider a brokered convention at this point.

Meanwhile, returning to the question of who on earth would issue a bond to Donald Trump, Letitia James says the answer is that a real bond was not in fact issued:

New York state Attorney General Letitia James on Friday asked the judge presiding over Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial to reject the former president’s bond, which has been dogged by reports of the insolvency of the company backing it.

Earlier this month, James gave Trump and Knight Specialty Insurance, the insurance company that underwrote his civil fraud case bond, 10 days to guarantee that the $175 million surety could be justified. Those 10 days are now up.

Trump and Knight Specialty Insurance, which is not licensed as a surety in New York state, could not prove the surety “meets the requirements of trustworthiness and competence,” according to a memo from James’s office,  and thus failed to demonstrate that they would be good for the $175 million.

I’ve seen enough — Hunter Biden must have his bail revoked.
