The State of the Race
By There’s a good discussion here, but I think this broad way of ranking the candidates now is pretty much right:
And I think it’s extremely unlikely that anyone below Tier II is the nominee (I might quibble and throw Castro into 3a, but it’s not very important). And I hope that Marianne Williamson continuing to poll between Jay Inslee and John Delaney will remind people that there’s a big difference between “celebrity who had his own reality TV show after many years of able to get news coverage for pretty much anything he did who could immediately monopolize news coverage as soon as he announced” and “celebrity New Age grifter who did some appearances on Oprah.” Trump winning should not be taken as evidence that anyone who can broadly be termed a “celebrity” can follow Trump’s path.
