So You’re Saying There’s Still A Chance
This is exactly what someone who is planning on running but wants to throw people off the scent would say!
Hillary Clinton, the former secretary of state and first lady who lost the White House to Donald J. Trump in 2016, said officially on Monday what has been unofficially clear for months: She is not running for president again in 2020.
“I’m not running,” Mrs. Clinton told a New York City television station, News 12. “But I’m going to keep on working and speaking and standing up for what I believe.”
Mrs. Clinton, the first woman to win a major-party nomination for president, remains a complicated figure for the Democratic Party as both a trailblazing female leader and also the candidate who was defeated by Mr. Trump.
But as our premier journal of leftist opinion notes in a highly relevant and timely article, we’re dealing with a fundamentally existential question:
No one knows for sure whether Hillary Clinton will run again in 2020. But she’s been working mighty hard to remind us why she shouldn’t.
As the article goes onto argue, Clinton says the various hacked emails strategically circulated by Russian ratfuckers had no interesting content, when in fact they showed [a whole bunch of immaterial bullshit.]
Anyway, it seems to me that this re-litigating 2016 is missing the real threat, Chelsea Clinton imposing neoliberalism on the Democrat Party from the Hastings-on-Hudson Board of Library Trustees.
