Won’t you come and join the party dress to kill redux
This is a Scott Lemieux post. I’m reposting it because some mysterious internet bug closed the comments on the original version.
In a move overdetermined since she decided to pivot from being a Team Clinton hack to a “THE PRIMARIES WERE RIGGED!!!!!!!!!!!” hack, Donna Brazile is taking her professional argument-losing talents to Fox News:
Former interim DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile is joining Fox News as a commentator, the network said on Monday.
The longtime Democratic operative will offer commentary on both Fox News and Fox Business, and her move comes as some in the Democratic Party have accused the channel of functioning as state-run television for President Donald Trump, especially after an article in the New Yorker outlined how intertwined the network is with Trump’s White House.
Brazile in a statement said she was “delighted” to join the network and said she was eager to represent Democrats for Fox News viewers, who she argued don’t “hear enough from Democrats.”
And once they’ve heard from Brazile, they still won’t have. It’ll be like the late Alan Colmes never left.
Of course, she can always learn from the master. Here, for example, is the most repulsive thing you’ll see this week, alongside a tweet from someone who licks airport toilets and puts the video on Twitter:
If you HAD to, would you rather watch Carson, Shapiro, and Greenwald on the Laura Ingraham White Power Hour OR the video of the person licking the airplane toilet seat on loop for an hour? pic.twitter.com/IyOCCkFUJE

And, I mean, it’s not even selling out — he presumably gets his mid-six-figure salary for writing an anti-anti-Trump blog whether he appears on white nationalist shows on Trump’s propaganda network or not:
Assuming Greenwald earned the same rate in 2018 as he did from 2014-17 (he won’t say), then Pierre Omidyar has paid $2 million for this, and counting. While The Intercept lays off researchers. https://t.co/YOM5Jihvay https://t.co/2iW3cLjr4C
