By Why would any self-respecting scientist choose that as their mission?
That was my son’s response to this story on the front page of the Times today. But he could have easily been talking about various other studies over the years in which scientists confirm the obvious or answer questions no one really cares about.
In a week when a much more far-reaching scientific finding did not make the front page of the Times, it does make you wonder.
